Problem Solved: Remembering to set the clock

I got an email about it.  I heard about it on the TV.  I talked about it with my wife.  But, I still forgot to set my clock forward for daylight savings time.  I went to bed and turned on my alarm so I would get up for church services Sunday morning. I didn’t even think about the time change, but even though I forgot my alarm went of at the correct time.

I use my iPhone for my alarm.  It (as do most mobile phones)  gets its clock set automatically.  So in the middle of the night, the clock got set to the correct new time and I was not late for church.  Technology solved my problem.  My iPhone actually solves lots of problems for me, especially in the area of things I can’t remember.

I actually noticed that most of the clocks I use today got set automatically.  The one on my iPhone, the one on my laptop, and the one on my cable/DVR box.  It was great not having to remember or to set them.  Now, if I could just get the clock in my truck to update automatically I would not have to remember the bizarre sequence of buttons I have to press to change the clock.

Do you notice when technology solves some problem for you?
